SAP Analytics Cloud partners: 1,767 firms recording SAC delivery

As of 2026-08-14

Two different questions hide behind this search, and conflating them is the usual reason a shortlist goes wrong. The first is who holds a formal partner status with SAP — a register SAP itself owns and publishes. The second is who actually delivers SAP Analytics Cloud work, which is a different and larger set. Our directory answers the second: of 7,768 browsable firm profiles, 1,767 record SAC in their SAP delivery footprint, headquartered across 150 countries, and 899 of those also record an SAP partner status of some kind. We publish no ranking of them, because nothing in the corpus computes one.

Partner status and delivery footprint are two different facts

SAP's partner programme is a contractual relationship: a firm signs up, meets competency and revenue conditions, and receives a designation. It is SAP's register and SAP's to publish — the authoritative place to check a current status is SAP's own partner finder, not a third-party directory.

What a directory adds is the other half: whether a firm demonstrably does the work. Here that is a per-product delivery flag on the firm profile, held in the platform database and sourced from the firm's own published material rather than inferred from a keyword sweep of its marketing.

The two overlap heavily but not completely. 899 of the 1,767 SAC-delivering profiles record a partner status of some kind; 868 do not. The second group is not disqualified — a specialist boutique subcontracting to a partner-status integrator delivers the same platform without appearing in the register — but the difference changes what you can hold them to contractually, and whether they can bid for certain work at all.

SAC on its own is rare

Of the 1,767 profiles that record SAC delivery, 1,572 also record BW/4HANA, 1,536 Datasphere and 1,501 Business Data Cloud. Only 121 record SAC and none of those three.

That is the single most useful structural fact on this page. SAP Analytics Cloud work almost never arrives as an isolated engagement; it arrives attached to the model underneath it, because the hard part of a SAC project is rarely the story or the chart — it is the semantic layer, the live connection and the currency, hierarchy and authorisation behaviour that come from the source model. A firm that delivers SAC and nothing else is either a front-end specialist, which is a legitimate and sometimes exactly correct choice for a dashboard-only scope, or a firm that will subcontract everything below the presentation layer without saying so.

The practical consequence for a buyer: ask which of the four the firm delivers with its own staff before asking how many SAC projects it has done. The answer to the first question predicts the delivery risk on the second.

Reading the four kinds of firm behind the same claim

The 1,767 SAC-delivering profiles distribute across the directory's firm taxonomy as follows. Each row implies a different commercial model and a different answer to 'who will actually be on my project'.

Global integrator or Big-4 advisory (545) — bid-capable at programme scale, formal methodology, partner status almost always present. Expect a pyramid: the people who sell are not the people who deliver, and the SAC depth sits in a named practice you should ask to meet.

Systems integrator or ESN (456) — the volume of the market. Broad ERP coverage with an analytics practice inside it. Strong when SAC sits inside an S/4HANA or BW programme they already run; weaker as a standalone analytics choice.

SAP specialist firm (399) — SAP is the whole business. Usually the deepest per-consultant knowledge and the narrowest bench, so the question is bench depth on your product, not headcount.

IT generalist with SAP coverage (274) — SAP is one line of business among several. Cost-competitive, and the group where you verify that the named consultants have delivered SAC rather than adjacent BI.

Strategy consultancy (47) — engaged for the decision, not the build; delivery is normally subcontracted.

What to verify before a shortlist becomes a contract

312 of the 1,767 SAC-delivering profiles name at least one SAP client reference. The other 1,455 do not — a statement about what firms publish rather than about what they have done, since references are frequently contractual secrets.

Engagement model is recorded more consistently: 1,539 record permanent hiring, 1,308 record working with freelancers, 186 record subcontracting. If your project needs three named specialists next month, a firm recording no freelance engagement is telling you it will resource from its own bench or not at all.

79 of the 1,767 have at least one live opening recorded in our radar. A firm hiring for exactly the profile you need signals both demand and a thin bench; read it as timing information, not as a quality score.

The questions worth asking, in order: which products do you deliver with your own staff; who specifically will be on the project and what have they delivered; what is the escalation path when the source model is wrong; and what happens to the model when the engagement ends.

Why this page publishes no ranking

There is no top-ten list here, and the omission is deliberate. Ranking consulting firms requires a comparable outcome measure across projects, and no such measure exists in this corpus or in any public one. What exists is delivery footprint, taxonomy, engagement model, geography and published references — facts that support a filter, not a league table.

Any published ranking of SAP Analytics Cloud partners is either a vendor's own recognition programme, which measures a commercial relationship rather than delivery quality, or an editorial list whose criteria are undisclosed and sometimes paid for. Both are legitimate inputs; neither is a measurement.

What we publish instead is the searchable directory and the fields behind it, so the filter is yours: product footprint, country, firm type, engagement model. The shortlist that comes out of that is defensible in a procurement meeting, which a borrowed ranking is not.

What we cannot assert

We cannot tell you which SAP Analytics Cloud partner is best, and we do not rank them: no outcome measure comparable across firms and projects exists in this corpus or in any public source. We also cannot confirm a firm's current SAP partner tier — that register belongs to SAP and changes without notice, so the partner status recorded on a profile is a statement the firm published, not a live read of SAP's register. Finally, a delivery flag records that a firm delivers a product; it does not record how many consultants, how recently, or how well.

Frequently asked

How many SAP Analytics Cloud partners are there?

How many hold a formal SAP partner status is SAP's to publish. Our own measure: 1,767 of the 7,768 browsable profiles in the directory record SAP Analytics Cloud delivery, and 899 of those also record an SAP partner status of some kind.

Does partner status mean a firm is good at SAP Analytics Cloud?

It means a contractual relationship with SAP exists and its conditions were met — a gate-passing credential, since several kinds of bid require a partner with certified staff, not a measure of delivery quality on your scope. Necessary for some work, sufficient for none.

Should I pick a specialist or a large integrator?

It depends on scope. Of the SAC-delivering profiles, 545 are global integrators or Big-4 advisories and 399 are SAP specialist firms. Integrators carry programme scale and a delivery pyramid; specialists carry depth and a narrow bench. The decisive question is whether the work sits inside a larger ERP programme.

Can a firm deliver SAC without delivering Datasphere or BW?

121 of the 1,767 record exactly that — coherent for a dashboard-only scope, a risk for anything touching the semantic layer, since 1,536 of the SAC-delivering profiles also record Datasphere and 1,572 record BW/4HANA.
