SAP analytics consultant — Datasphere, Business Data Cloud, SAC, BW/4HANA

As of 2026-08-12

Analytics Legends is written by a working independent SAP analytics consultant, not by an editorial team. This page states what he delivers: SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, BW/4HANA, Joule and Databricks integration, with 27 years on SAP behind it. It exists because the platform published day rates, certifications, firms and contracts, and nothing about the practice itself.

SAP Datasphere consultant

Modelling, spaces, task chains and the analytic layer on SAP Datasphere — including the parts that only show up in delivery: space-to-space sharing, replication flows against a live source, and the moment a task chain has to be split because one long chain cannot be re-run cheaply.

SAP BDC architect

Business Data Cloud architecture: which data products to expose, what stays in Datasphere, where Databricks earns its place, and what the clean-core rule actually forbids. BDC is young enough that most of the published material is vendor material — this practice separates what is shipped from what is announced.

SAP analytics cloud consultant

SAP Analytics Cloud — stories, models, and planning when planning is the point: driver-based models, data actions, and the live-versus-import decision that is easy to make once and expensive to revisit.

SAP BW consulting

BW and BW/4HANA, which for most estates now means the migration question rather than the build question: what BW Bridge carries over, what greenfield actually costs, and which ADSOs survive the move. Mainstream maintenance for BW/4HANA runs to 2030 and BW 7.5 on HANA to 2027 — the assessment is worth doing before the window closes, not after.

SAP BI consultant

The older estate is still there and still funded: BEx content, classic BI, and the reporting layer that has to keep answering while the platform underneath is replaced. Migration work that ignores it stalls at the first user who cannot find their report.

SAP Databricks integration

Databricks beside SAP rather than instead of it — where the lakehouse is the right home for a workload, where it is an expensive detour, and how the two keep one definition of a metric instead of two that drift.

SAP BW consultant hourly rate

Day-rate bands by specialisation, seniority and country are published on the day-rate pillar, each with its sample size — and a band no observation supports is not shown at all. No personal rate is published here: a day rate quoted outside the shape of an engagement informs neither side.

SAP Datasphere consulting companies

When the work is bigger than one person, the honest answer is a firm, not a freelancer subcontracting. The firm directory lists 8403 browsable SAP consulting organisations by country and specialism, each sourced and dated. It is a referral, not a resale: no commission is taken on an introduction.

How an engagement starts

With a short written framing: the state of the estate, the decision to be taken, and what would be true if it were taken well. Most Datasphere/BDC programmes that drift skipped that step and discovered in the third sprint that two teams were aiming at two different targets.

Working languages: French (native), English (fluent), German (good knowledge), Spanish (basics). Five years in the United States, three in Switzerland, now based in France. The full background and how this platform's content is produced are on the editorial page; the SAP analytics certification path is on the certification pillar.

FAQ

What is the difference between SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Business Data Cloud?

Datasphere is the data layer: modelling, spaces, federation and replication. SAP Analytics Cloud is the reporting and planning layer on top. Business Data Cloud is the offering that packages Datasphere, SAC and Databricks together with ready-to-consume SAP data products — it does not replace Datasphere, it is how SAP now sells it accompanied.

Should a BW migration to Datasphere be greenfield or brownfield?

It depends on what the estate actually carries, not on a preference. BW Bridge carries BW objects into Datasphere and makes brownfield workable when the existing logic has value; greenfield earns its place when the current model is mostly debt. That answer is decided on an inventory, and an honest inventory takes days rather than hours.

Do you work direct or through an intermediary?

Both. Direct with the end client, or through a consultancy or staffing firm where that is the contractual frame already in place.
