Maps Joule for supply chain inside SAP's Autonomous Supply Chain Management vision (announced at SAP Sapphire, May 2026, building on SAP Supply Chain Orchestration from October 2025) for a consultant who already knows SAP IBP, manufacturing or warehouse data. It names all six announced Joule Assistants and the four specifically named agents among the 60-plus underneath them, then grounds the vision in the dated GA layer from SAP's quarterly Business AI release highlights (AI-assisted production engineering and description enhancement in SAP Digital Manufacturing, with SAP's own efficiency figures). It treats governance as physical-consequence-aware — a named approval step plus an escalation path for any agent action with a safety, quality or cost consequence — which other Autonomous Suite domains do not need to emphasise as strongly. Module overview

Who this is for. You know SAP supply chain data — SAP IBP planning models, inventory and logistics reporting, manufacturing KPIs you have built in BW/4HANA, Datasphere or SAP Analytics Cloud. This module takes that knowledge into Joule in supply chain: Autonomous Supply Chain Management, announced at SAP Sapphire in Orlando in May 2026. It assumes M333 (AI & LLM fundamentals) and benefits from M325 and M326; it does not repeat their material. The goal is commercial and practical: know exactly which of the six named Joule Assistants and which of the 60-plus agents exist, what specific SAP IBP, SAP Digital Manufacturing and SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) features are dated GA, and how to scope a Joule-for-supply-chain conversation without repeating a keynote slide as a delivered system.

SAP frames its own credibility in this domain by tenure rather than novelty: "SAP has been helping organizations build more connected and intelligent supply chains for over 50 years," Metzger writes, before describing the new layer as an evolution of orchestration rather than a rebuild from zero — a useful framing when a client asks whether adopting Joule here means replacing existing SAP IBP or EWM investments (it does not).
