What it is

SAP Business Suite 2026 is SAP's rebrand and architectural reframe of its entire cloud application portfolio — announced at Sapphire Orlando 2026 (May 19-21) to position the portfolio as a unified, composable set of applications that share a common AI layer (Joule + SAP Business AI Platform), a common data layer (SAP Business Data Cloud), and a common process integration fabric (SAP Integration Suite). The name revives the pre-2010 'Business Suite' brand but carries a fundamentally different architecture: where the original Business Suite was a monolithic on-premise stack (ECC, CRM, SCM, SRM), the 2026 version is a cloud-native, composable portfolio that SAP customers assemble to their process scope.

The strategic rationale is consolidation signalling. SAP has been perceived by CIOs and analysts as a fragmented portfolio — S/4HANA, Datasphere, SAC, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Fieldglass, Concur, BTP — each with its own UI, its own data model, its own AI maturity, and its own contract. Business Suite 2026 is SAP's answer: one commercial and architectural umbrella under which all named products are positioned as 'modules' of a unified suite.
