SAP MCP servers list: what exists, who maintains it, what it does

SAP MCP servers list: what exists, who maintains it, what it does — Analytics Legends section illustration for SAP analytics market intelligence (Datasphere, BDC, SAC, BW/4HANA)

As of 2026-10-18

There is no single SAP MCP server. As of 18 October 2026 we verified 29 entries against their own documentation: 16 published by SAP, one by AWS, and the rest from community authors and vendors. The right one depends on the job: coding help, administration, governed access to business APIs, or reading data in a specific product. Each line gives maintainer, products, what the assistant can do and local or remote, where the source states it.

Official SAP: development servers

They help a coding agent write SAP code, not read business data. SAP Build bundles the CAP, Fiori and UI5 servers.

UI5 MCP Server — SAP, open source (Apache-2.0) — SAPUI5 and OpenUI5 — scaffolds apps and cards, looks up API documentation and guidelines, validates manifests, runs the UI5 linter — local, stdio.

UI5 Web Components MCP Server — SAP, Apache-2.0 — UI5 Web Components — component API documentation and integration guides — local, stdio.

SAP Fiori MCP Server — SAP, Apache-2.0 — Fiori elements, CAP — generates Fiori elements apps for CAP or OData projects, fetches service metadata, lists and modifies existing apps — local, stdio.

CAP MCP Server — SAP, Apache-2.0 — SAP CAP — two tools: fuzzy search over the compiled CDS model and local semantic search of the CAP documentation. Its README says the tools are not a stable API — local, stdio.

MDK MCP Server — SAP, Apache-2.0 — Mobile Development Kit — best practice, templates and CLI actions (create, generate, build, deploy, validate, migrate) — local, stdio.

ADT MCP Server (VS Code) — SAP — ABAP, ABAP Cloud, BTP ABAP environment — a local HTTP endpoint from ABAP Development Tools so an assistant can create packages, activate objects and similar tasks. Described as experimental. The Eclipse counterpart is local HTTP, protected by a generated token.

Official SAP: integration, administration and agent platforms

SAP Integration Suite MCP Server — SAP — Integration Suite — an artefact built inside Integration Suite that exposes APIs and data to agents as governed tools, resources and prompts.

SAP Integration Suite MCP Gateway — SAP — Integration Suite — a control plane that puts SAP and non-SAP APIs, integration flows and external MCP servers behind one entry point with authentication, rate limiting and monitoring. It needs the Premium or Enhanced edition and the Integration Cell runtime — HTTP.

MCP Server for SAP BTP Administration — SAP — SAP BTP — account-administration operations as tools, so an MCP-capable client can manage the account structure in natural language.

SAP Automation Pilot MCP Server — SAP — Automation Pilot, BTP — you create it in your tenant and choose which commands become tools.

SAP LeanIX MCP Server — SAP — LeanIX — a hosted endpoint, enabled by default in every LeanIX workspace, to query enterprise-architecture data in plain language under role-based permissions — HTTP.

MCP Server for SAP Business One — SAP — Business One — downloadable sample code, available from Business One 10.0 FP 2608, that turns the Service Layer into a conversational interface. It is sample code, not a product.

Joule Work Desktop and Joule Studio — SAP — these are clients, not servers: the help pages describe registering an MCP server from the Integration Cell runtime in Joule Work Desktop (part of SAP's Early Adopter Care programme, so not generally available), and attaching MCP servers to a Joule agent in Joule Studio (classic edition).

Hyperscaler server

AWS for SAP MCP Server — AWS — S/4HANA, ECC, SuccessFactors, BTP — a container run on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore that gives agents discoverable OData V2 and V4 access: service discovery, reads, optional writes and function imports, with allow-listing — HTTP.

Community and vendor servers

None is an SAP product or carries SAP support.

SAP Datasphere MCP — community, MIT — Datasphere — explore metadata, run analytic queries, extract data, inspect lineage, with configurable PII masking — local, stdio or HTTP. Active development, 2.x.

SAP Business Data Cloud MCP — community, MIT — BDC — seven tools for Delta Sharing: publishing data products, validating and provisioning shares — local, stdio.

SAP HANA MCP Server — community, MIT — HANA, HANA Cloud — schema discovery and guarded SQL with 34 tools; data-changing statements are blocked unless enabled — stdio or HTTP.

SAP Analytics Cloud MCP — community, MIT — SAC — wraps the SAC REST API as 90 tools using OAuth client credentials, plus a smart-query tool and guided prompts — transport not stated.

SAP OData to MCP on BTP — community, MIT — BTP, S/4HANA, ECC — a Node server for Cloud Foundry exposing OData services through three discovery-and-execute tools.

SAP AI Core MCP — community, MIT — AI Core — manages an AI Core landscape in natural language; described as early-stage.

SAP SuccessFactors MCP — CData Software, MIT — SuccessFactors — read-only, lists tables and columns and runs SELECT queries through the CData JDBC driver — local, stdio.

SAP RFC MCP — community, MIT — SAP ERP — calls function modules over RFC; stated not to be an official SAP product — stdio.

SAP GUI MCP — Hochfrequenz, MIT — SAP GUI, WebGUI — drives SAP through GUI scripting or WebGUI, aimed at testing — stdio.

CAP MCP Plugin — Gavdi Labs, Apache-2.0 — CAP — generates an MCP server from annotated CAP services, served on a local /mcp HTTP endpoint.

MCP SAP Docs — community, Apache-2.0 — SAP Help, SAP Community — unified search and fetch over SAP documentation, with a public hosted endpoint.

Market data

Analytics Legends MCP — Analytics Legends — SAP AI, analytics, Business Data Cloud — a read-only remote server with 22 tools covering a firm directory, SAP customers, day-rate benchmarks, opportunities, news, concepts and studies. Fourteen tools are public; the others need a subscriber key. It serves market information, not SAP system data.

Which one for which job

Writing CAP, Fiori, UI5 or MDK code — Pick: the matching SAP development server · Why: local, open source, grounds the agent in the framework without touching business data.

ABAP development — Pick: the ADT MCP server for your IDE · Why: it acts through the developer's own session, so use a development system, and note the VS Code one is described as experimental.

Reading or writing business data in SAP applications — Pick: the Integration Suite MCP gateway · Why: one governed entry point with authentication, rate limiting and monitoring. SAP's API policy restricts agentic use of its APIs to endorsed pathways, so check it before building your own wrapper.

Administering BTP — Pick: the BTP administration server, or the Automation Pilot server if you want to expose only chosen commands.

Enterprise-architecture questions — Pick: the LeanIX server, already enabled in the workspace.

Exploring Datasphere, BDC, HANA or SAC with an assistant — Pick: a community server, in a sandbox first. No official MCP page exists for these products in the SAP Help Portal, as of 18 October 2026.

So the best SAP MCP server is the one whose scope matches the task and whose authentication you can defend. The authoritative SAP view is the Model Context Protocol material in the Integration Suite documentation on SAP Help.

What we cannot assert

Several entries do not state transport, licence or status in their documentation; we left those blank rather than guess. Pricing and commercial terms for agentic API access are not published by SAP.

Frequently asked

Is there an official SAP MCP server list?

SAP documents its servers product by product on SAP Help and developers.sap.com, for example the Integration Suite pages, the SAP Build overview and the BTP administration pages. We found no single registry page that lists them all, which is why this page is compiled from each product's own documentation.

Are community SAP MCP servers safe to use in production?

They carry no SAP support, and several state their own early or active-development status. Treat them like any third-party integration: security review, a named owner, read-only mode first and an exit plan. Try them against a sandbox tenant.

Do these servers run locally or remotely?

Both exist. The development servers run locally over stdio. The Integration Suite gateway, LeanIX and AWS servers are HTTP endpoints. Several community servers support both modes. Where a source does not state the transport, the line above says so.

Is there an official MCP server for Datasphere or SAC?

Not as of 18 October 2026: we searched SAP Help for Datasphere, HANA Cloud, SAC, Signavio, Concur, Ariba and Customer Experience and found no official MCP server page. Community servers exist for Datasphere, SAC, HANA and BDC.

How current is this list?

Every entry was verified against its documentation or repository on 18 October 2026. The area moves quickly, so check the maintainer's page for status, licence and tool counts before relying on them.
