BDC + Databricks Integration

Databricks is OEM'd inside BDC as "SAP Databricks", sharing data zero-copy via Delta Sharing — collapsing the oldest SAP-analytics pain: getting SAP business data into ML/data-science without a brittle ETL that strips semantics. Core value: bidirectional, zero-copy, semantics-preserved — SAP data available to Databricks ML in place, results flow back, no nightly extract, no duplicated storage. Unity Catalog governs the Databricks side against governed SAP data products (M033) under one governance umbrella. Architecture decisions: keep semantics in BDC products, do feature-engineering/ML in Databricks; design the governance seam (lineage M077, access M081); don't spin up ungoverned workspaces that rebuild silos. Honest caveat: the integration is solved, the solution still needs architecting (§0i). This is the defining cross-stack-architect competency — highest scarcity in the market.
