An ordered, artefact-based upskilling roadmap for a senior SAP data or analytics consultant, current to 23 September 2026. Seven stages — orientation, generative AI foundations (C_AIG), grounding on governed data (C_BDCDA), Joule agents with MCP/A2A, two specialisations (Document AI, SAP-RPT-1, Joule in SAC or ABAP AI), trust and economics (EU AI Act, red-teaming, AI Units), then proof and positioning (C_BCBTP / C_BCSBS) — each mapped to the platform's concepts (C…) and modules (M…, including M325–M332) and closed by a reviewable artefact.

What you will learn

  • Sequence the platform's SAP AI concepts and modules into seven stages, from orientation to proof, and know why each stage depends on the previous one.
  • Close each stage with a reviewable artefact — landscape map, versioned prompt template, grounded flow, governed agent, specialisation prototype, risk/red-team/consumption pack.
  • Choose SAP certifications by what they prove, using the formats SAP publishes (C_AIG, C_BDCDA, C_BCBDC, C_BCBTP, C_BCSBS, C_ABAPD, C_CPE).
  • Keep the roadmap current by tying every stage to named SAP capabilities that can change status (GA, retirement, pricing).

Module overview

This module is a roadmap, not a sales pitch. It takes a senior SAP data or analytics consultant — someone who already designs data products, defends modelling decisions and runs governance conversations — and lays out, in order, what to learn on this platform to become credible on SAP Business AI as it stands on 3 October 2026: which concepts (C…) and modules (M…) to work through, which artefacts to build at each stage, and which SAP certifications prove what. What convinces a client's architect is evidence that can be opened and inspected, so the roadmap is built around artefacts rather than course completions.

Prerequisites

  • Hands-on experience on SAP data and analytics projects (Datasphere / SAP Business Data Cloud, SAC or BW)
  • Review core concepts first: C101, C264, C049

Outcomes

  • Draw the SAP Business AI landscape (Base AI, Premium AI, custom-built) and place Joule, Joule Studio, the generative AI hub, SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP Knowledge Graph in it.
  • Carry one reference scenario (e.g. supplier-risk monitoring) through prompt, grounding, agent, specialisation and governance stages.
  • Build a personal certification plan with a justified order (typically C_AIG, then C_BDCDA, then a positioning credential).
  • Assemble a five-artefact portfolio a client's architect can inspect.
