E_BW4HE is SAP's hands-on delta exam for SAP BW consultants moving to SAP BW/4HANA: a 180-minute system-based practical test, 70 % pass score, English only, taken with a Learning Hub subscription that includes certification attempts (learning.sap.com and the SAP exam record, checked 15 October 2026). Topics and exact weights: Data Tiering Optimization 35 %, Modeling a Data Flow 35 %, Data Processing 30 %. SAP states that BW 7.5 (NetWeaver 7.5) is in mainstream maintenance until the end of 2027, with extended maintenance until the end of 2030, and that SAP BW/4HANA is maintained until at least 2040; per-release dates are not verified here. Three topics of almost equal weight leave no room for a weak one. Prepare with the official journey, rebuild a classic flow in the new objects, move a partition between temperatures, and run the practice system twice.

E_BW4HE is the delta exam: SAP's practical test for people who already know SAP BW 7.x and now have to prove they can work in SAP BW/4HANA. It is aimed at you if you can build an InfoCube and a MultiProvider in your sleep and now meet aDSOs, CompositeProviders, ODP and data tiering. You do not re-learn data warehousing; you re-map what you know, and you do it in a live system under a clock. This module gives you the verified facts, the end-of-maintenance context with only the dates I could verify, a plan by topic, the practical-test drills, and an honest list of gaps.

Prerequisites

  • Several years of hands-on work with SAP BW 7.x (InfoCubes, DataStore objects, MultiProviders, process chains)
  • Review core concepts first: C317, C316, C186, C312
  • Module M401 (Exam Prep C_BW4H) if you have never built objects in the BW modeling tools
  • Access to a SAP BW/4HANA system (the practice system of the learning journey or a client sandbox)

Outcomes

  • Explain the format, access model and topic weights of E_BW4HE without invented weightings, and separate it from C_BW4H_2601.
  • State the verified end-of-maintenance facts and name the dates you could not verify.
  • Deliver four original exercises (tiering, flow remodel, ODP loading, process chain) in a SAP BW/4HANA system.
  • Complete the practice system twice inside the time limit with at least 20 minutes of margin.
