CDS views and ODP are the extraction backbone of every S/4-to-Datasphere migration. Always extract from C-suffix interface views (not Q consumption views). Verify delta capability — FULL-only on high-volume extractors destroys source-system performance. Set authority annotations to prevent data-bypass across company codes. Manage ODP subscriber lifecycle via ODQMON or Datasphere deregistration to avoid delta-queue memory leaks. These five failure modes cover > 80 % of CDS/ODP incidents on BW/S/4-to-Datasphere projects.
