What it is

SAP Build with AI is the generative-AI layer folded into the SAP Build family — Apps, Process Automation, and Work Zone — that lets someone who is not a developer describe a business process in ordinary language and receive a working draft application, form, or workflow in return. It runs on SAP Business Technology Platform and is powered by the same Joule model backbone that drives SAP's conversational assistant elsewhere in the suite. The pitch is simple: turn a spoken requirement into a deployable prototype in a matter of hours rather than weeks.

Why it matters

Every SAP customer carries an invisible backlog of manual work that never made it onto an IT roadmap — spreadsheet reconciliations, email approval chains, PDF hand-offs between departments — because no single process was ever large enough to justify a formal development project.
