What is SAP Signavio Process Intelligence?

SAP Signavio Process Intelligence mines event data to show how processes really run. In 2026 its AI layer moved fast: Joule with SAP Signavio solutions became GA (February), the new Process Intelligence generation added Process Atoms, Process Networks, an AI-assisted Context Analyzer and AI-assisted root cause analysis (May–June), business process simulation entered open beta (July), and a Process Consulting Agent with process mining plus SAP Company Memory (preview) followed in September. Signavio is also SAP's tool to find where agents create value.

What process intelligence does

Process mining reconstructs how a process actually ran from event data — one record per business event with a case identifier, an activity and a timestamp — instead of from interviews or documentation. In SAP ERP landscapes the classic event sources are document tables and change documents; the resulting event log shows variants, cycle times, rework loops and deviations from the target model. SAP Signavio Process Intelligence is SAP's product for this, part of the SAP Signavio suite SAP acquired in 2021. In May 2026 SAP reported that SAP Signavio was named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Process Intelligence Platforms for the fourth consecutive year (16 vendors evaluated).

Why it matters

Process context — real variants and rules — is grounding for agents that act on processes; SAP Company Memory (preview) and Process Atoms are SAP's answer.
Signavio sits at the start of SAP's agent lifecycle: evidence for where agents create value, and the KPI baseline to prove it afterwards.
Several 2026 capabilities were announced as planned or beta; tier (Base vs Premium) and tenant verification decide what can be scoped.
